Commissioner Carol V. Phelps noted that officials from Pocosin Innovative Charter (PIC) may request to occupy the Creswell school building once it is vacated when students move into a new school. The board did not take action on site reuse at the Jan. 16 session but recorded these items as part of broader CIP and economic‑development planning.
Follow‑up items include continuing discussions with Plymouth on sewer dedication terms and parking options to support motorsports and tournament-related economic activity. No new funding approvals for these projects were recorded at the meeting.
