Charlotte County Board approves $1.006 million in invoices, appropriations and reappoints zoning board member

At its Jan. 8 meeting the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors approved several routine financial actions and a reappointment.
The Board voted to approve FY2025 invoices for payment totaling $1,000,394.21 (motion by Supervisor Noah Davis, seconded by Vice‑Chair Hazel Bowman Smith), approved additional invoices received after the December meeting totaling $5,377.41 (motion by Davis, seconded by Supervisor Robert L. Shook), and approved appropriations of $6,124.00 (motion by Davis, seconded by Vice‑Chair Smith). Each motion carried with all supervisors present voting aye.
The Board also reappointed Kurtis Jones to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2029 (motion by Supervisor Gary D. Walker, seconded by Supervisor Noah Davis). By consensus the Board adopted the consolidated budget schedule with the School Board and directed the Administration Office to remain open on Election Day, with Administrator Daniel N. Witt to determine implementation details.
All motions recorded at the meeting passed unanimously among supervisors present; no opposition or abstentions were recorded.
The Board adjourned after completing business.
