The Laurel Urban Renewal Agency reviewed progress on the Bernhardt Ditches project at its Nov. 24, 2025 meeting. The minutes state the ditch‑covering contract is complete but that work cannot proceed until required insurance is in place.
Triple Tree Engineering provided a written update showing the project at 95% design. According to the submitted task order, Triple Tree planned to finalize 100% design by Oct. 1, 2025 and begin construction in November 2025. The firm lists a contracted fee of $40,000 for Task Order #5 and shows $4,387.50 billed to date. The update was provided by Douglas C. Tamcke, P.E., project manager for Triple Tree Engineering.
Agency members did not record a motion to authorize construction at the meeting; the minutes note only that the contract is complete and that insurance remains outstanding. The committee continues to await confirmation from required insurers before work begins.
The minutes contain inconsistent time stamps (the header shows 11:00 a.m. while the body says the meeting was called to order at 10:00 p.m.); the document does not reconcile those times. The minutes also note the board approved amended minutes and adjourned at 12:00.
Next steps identified in the update include securing insurance and finalizing any outstanding structural details before construction scheduling is confirmed.
