Todd provided minutes from the Veteran's Service Committee and asked whether the county's budget lines would need adjustment to cover the broader eligibility. Commissioners said funds for county burials are already in place and asked whether the Veteran's Service line could cover required grave markers; Todd indicated it could. The board indicated that budget lines will remain as currently structured for the time being and suggested an annual raise for the Veteran's Service Officer in January concurrent with courthouse personnel pay actions.
The board also reappointed Dennis Pfeiffer to the Veteran's Service Committee for a five-year term through June 30, 2029; the motion passed unanimously.
