At its Feb. 23, 2026 meeting the Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors approved a County Confidentiality Statement requiring current and new employees to sign the form and directed department heads to bring signed copies to a March 9, 2026 department-head meeting.
The board also acknowledged receipt and filed a notice of permit assignment for the Chickasaw Wind Energy Center to MidAmerican Energy Company.
A motion directed the auditor to advertise an open seat on the City of New Hampton Board of Adjustments in the county official newspapers; applications are due March 20, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
On routine fiscal items the board approved prior bills of $393.68 and approved claims recorded in the minutes as $130,445.07. The meeting also recorded approval of payroll checks dated Feb. 20, 2026. A separate claims listing published with the minutes (SEG 002–SEG 003) prints vendor line items and a total of $153,032.65; the minutes do not reconcile that printed listing to the claims total recorded in the motion. The claims listing includes vendors such as Gardiner+Company, Five Star Cooperative, MidAmerican Energy Co., and Wendel Muller for items ranging from professional services to fuel and construction payments.
Motions on these administrative items passed on recorded roll calls. The meeting recessed for a budget work session and adjourned at 10:57 a.m.
