Mayor Jeff Scoby called a special meeting of the Greenville City Council to order at 6:00 p.m. on Aug. 22, 2023, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Complex, 415 S. Lafayette Street.
During the Statement of Citizens period, resident Shawnee Bonner of 500 N. Lafayette suggested adding "adult use marijuana" to the council's Items for Accomplishment list for fiscal year 2023–24.
