Amy McGuffin, CEO and president of the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, presented a packet of draft outreach materials that included a project timeline, a preview of the planned press release and options for outreach collateral intended to inform lodging and tourism stakeholders about grant opportunities funded by the lodging tax. Commissioners discussed presentation details; Osiadacz suggested adding a legend or appendices to the plan’s heat maps to make the visual information clearer for stakeholders.
Vice-Chairman Cory Wright asked that Phase II of the work intentionally incorporate all recreation and tourism plans so county planning and LTAC-funded projects align. The Board agreed to schedule meetings with LTAC twice a year to receive progress updates on the strategic plan, outreach and the large-capital process.
