Snowflake approves $25,800 engineering plan for water and sewer at 19th S. and SR 77

The Snowflake Town Council approved an engineering proposal Oct. 7 for water and sewer infrastructure at 19th S. and SR 77.
Town Manager Brian Richards told the council there is currently no sewer or water on the west side of SR 77 and that the town sought a proposal from Ironside Engineering. The firm quoted $25,800 for the plans. Councilmember Travis Kay asked why the town would take on the work and whether costs would be spread to parcels; Brian Richards said the town would install infrastructure and recoup costs through permits distributed across parcels and that Ironside's plans should take about a month to complete.
Motion by Kay, seconded by Joseph Bjornn, to approve the proposal from Ironside Engineering passed unanimously. The council directed staff to proceed with contracting Ironside and to follow normal permit-costing procedures for future developments that use the new infrastructure.
