Mercer County approves mower purchases, fog-seal and equipment test for road maintenance

Assistant Highway Superintendent Dennis Olheiser explained the need for new mowing equipment to the commission. Bauman moved to purchase one XH1500 Series 5 rotary cutter mower for $38,337 and one FLX-1510 flex arm for $30,418 from McLean County; Voigt seconded and all voted aye. The two purchases total $68,755.
The commission recorded portfolio updates and then approved bills presented for payment totaling $75,537.20 on a motion from Jamee Folk, seconded by Chairman Gene Wolf. The vendor list entered into the record includes city utilities, contractors, and vendor payments for routine county operations.
