The Mercer County Commission approved a zoning exemption to allow electrical service to an agricultural well and scheduled a public hearing on appraised unredeemed properties.
Tax Director Jennifer presented Zoning Case #25-10-01, an application to permit electrical service for an agricultural well for Perry Winkler (T142 R88 S18). Commissioner Casey Voigt moved to approve the zoning exemption; Vice Chairman Rick Bauman seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Jennifer also presented appraisals for a set of unredeemed parcels, including a Knife River Shrine Club lot (appraised at $779.86) and multiple residential parcels with appraisals ranging from several hundred dollars to more than $9,000. The commission approved the appraisals as presented and set a public hearing for Nov. 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mercer County Government Center boardroom to consider the unredeemed property actions.
The board directed staff to notify interested parties per usual procedures in advance of the scheduled hearing.
