Moore Engineering representatives Tom Weigel and Jordan Nehls told the board the chip-seal project was completed, carries a warranty and will be inspected again next spring. Vice Chairman Rick Bauman moved to approve payment of the Astech invoice; Commissioner Mark Pierce seconded and the motion passed with all voting aye.
Highway Department Administrative Assistant Rachel Grimm presented a Notice to Bid for a 2025 or newer motor grader. Commissioner Mark Pierce moved to approve the Notice to Bid and to set the bid opening for Nov. 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mercer County Government Center boardroom; Commissioner Jamee Folk seconded and the motion carried. The county will accept bids at that time and open received proposals publicly in the boardroom.
Residents raised no immediate objections during the discussion of these items; the commission recorded that the chip-seal work will be inspected next spring under warranty terms. The board approved the Astech payment and the bidding timetable as part of its routine business for capital and road maintenance.
