Fulton County commissioners approve payables, payroll, hires, leases and other routine measures

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on March 3, 2026 approved routine financial and administrative items, hired at least one county employee and authorized grant- and procurement-related actions.
The board approved Accounts Payable dated March 3, 2026 totaling $335,634.88 with a fund-level breakdown that included $291,026.05 from the General Fund and $25,776.52 in Debt Service. Commissioners also approved payroll dated March 6, 2026 totaling $132,711.81. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the minutes from the February 24, 2026 meeting; that motion carried.
The board approved a travel request for Chief Probation Officer Dan Miller to attend the Annual CJAB Conference April 20–22, 2026, and approved a lease from DBB for a printer for MDJ Heming’s office at a contract price of $3,647.00. Commissioners also approved a Plan Asset invoice from Conrad Siegel in the amount of $3,844.25 and accepted the February 2026 Pension Fund Report as presented by HR Administrator Mary Huston.
HR Administrator Mary Huston proposed hiring Laurel Griest as Office Deputy I for the Prothonotary’s Office, effective March 4, 2026; Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to hire Griest and the motion passed. The board briefly convened as a Salary Board to set the new hire’s salary; separate salary minutes were filed.
Commissioners authorized a CDBG 'Delegation of Signing Authority' form naming HR Administrator Mary Huston, Commissioner Steven L. Wible and Commissioner Randy H. Bunch to execute invoices for SEDA COG. County auditors Penny Kipp, Rebecca Kendall and Holly Falkosky presented an audit review to the board. Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville provided an update on Phase II renovations to the newly purchased county building on Lincoln Way West in McConnellsburg.
The board entered three brief executive sessions during the meeting for personnel matters (10:15–10:29 a.m.; 10:48–11:45 a.m.; 12:25–12:37 p.m.). The meeting adjourned at 1:03 p.m.
