Mercer County approves purchase agreements for Roughrider RV Park and OKs J2 Studio renovation fees

The Mercer County Commission on Nov. 19 approved two purchase agreements with R&R Properties LLP to acquire the Roughrider RV Park at 6071 Highway 200 in Beulah, and separately approved a fee proposal for renovation work at J2 Studio.

Commissioner Jamee Folk moved to approve both R&R Properties LLP purchase agreements — one for $101,000 to be paid in December 2025 and a second for $499,000 to be paid in February 2026 — and the motion was seconded and passed by unanimous voice vote. The agreements were discussed as county business during the meeting minutes item on property purchases.

Commissioner Rick Bauman moved to approve the J2 Studio Renovation Fee Proposal, which the minutes record as including estimated costs of $5,950 per hour for architectural services, an estimated $500 for printing and office expenses, and $110 per trip for mileage; that motion was seconded and approved unanimously.

The actions add county-held property and a renovation contract commitment to the commission’s portfolio; the minutes do not record additional contract terms, funding sources beyond the county’s normal appropriation process, or a vendor schedule beyond the R&R Properties LLP name and the J2 fee estimates.
