Illinois Commerce Commission approves rail safety projects and renews towing licenses

"Orders approved projects and stipulated agreements, grant project time extensions and authorize funding assistance through the Grade Crossing Protection Fund," the chair said, and asked whether there were objections to considering and approving the items together. With no objections, the chair said, "Hearing None, the orders are approved."
The commission next considered motor carrier items MC1 and MC2, which the chair said concern applications for renewal of commercial relocation towing licenses and that the orders renew the licenses. The chair again asked for objections and, after none were voiced, "Hearing None, the orders are approved." The chair then closed the transportation portion of the agenda: "This concludes our transportation agenda."
