At the March 3 meeting the Board of Commissioners appointed five nominees to the county’s newly formed Economic Development Advisory Council.
Clerk Julie J. Bennett presented applications from the candidates. Commissioner John C. Spruill moved to appoint Dwight Respess, Harvey West, Maurice Hill, Mark Pardue and Rickecia James; Commissioner Ann C. Keyes seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
No conditions or terms were recorded in the meeting minutes; Bennett had prepared applications for each nominee that were included in the meeting packet, and the Board asked staff to continue filling the Council as needed.
