The Nelson County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Sept. 19 to rescind a Sept. 10 action that had removed Central District Supervisor Ernie Q. Reed as the Board’s representative to the Planning Commission and named Dr. Jessica Ligon to that position.
Chair J. David Parr opened the continued meeting at 10:09 a.m. and proposed correcting the prior action. Jesse N. Rutherford moved to rescind the Sept. 10 decision; Dr. Jessica Ligon seconded the motion. There was no further discussion and the motion passed by roll call vote, 4–0.
The rescission returns the Board’s prior appointment status. No amendments or conditions to the rescission were recorded, and the Board took no additional action on Planning Commission nominations at the meeting.
Procedurally, the Board handled the matter at the start of the continued session to establish the correct representative before proceeding with the rest of the agenda.
