VDOT: Route 92 and Mossingford bridge projects on track; Charlotte Court House sidewalk complete

Brian Lokker of VDOT updated the Charlotte County Board on local transportation projects, reporting ongoing pothole repairs and regular work orders and providing timelines for major bridge work.
Key items: Route 92 Bridge is scheduled for completion in August 2027 and Mossingford Bridge in December 2026; a sidewalk project in Charlotte Court House was completed in December 2025; VDOT is pursuing grant funding for 'Buggy Beacon' signs. Lokker said Bobby Bryant is now the superintendent at the Phenix headquarters and that the location is fully staffed.
Lokker also said he is working with the county and Public Safety Director Chris Russell on a safety study of the intersection of Highway 92 and Highway 360, and reminded residents that they can submit a work order by calling 1‑800‑FOR‑ROAD.
