Parma Heights City Council voted Feb. 9 to authorize purchase of a 2026 Ford E-450 bus for $144,296 to supplement the city's senior transportation fleet.
Clerk Barbara Allen read Resolution No. 2026-6, which authorizes the administration to purchase one 2026 Ford E-450 bus from Bus Service Inc. at the state purchase price of $144,296.00. Councilwoman Maruschak moved to suspend the rules and then moved for passage; the motions were seconded as recorded, and a roll call showed all members present voting in favor.
Mayor Gallo had mentioned a possible supplemental senior bus earlier in the meeting while reporting on Senior Center activity; the purchase is intended to replace a vehicle damaged two or three years ago and to support the Senior Center's transportation needs. The resolution does not include a line-item funding breakdown in the meeting minutes; the administration is expected to finalize procurement details following the council vote.
