Soddy‑Daisy commissioners adopt rezoning, approve zoning‑materials change on first reading and authorize county water‑quality agreement

Grant noted a particular manufactured masonry product is being used by the new Full‑Service Emergency Room and described it as aesthetically acceptable.
The board also authorized Mayor Everett to electronically sign a water‑quality agreement with Hamilton County. City Manager Johnson said the new agreement updates one approved about three years ago and does not change Soddy‑Daisy’s terms. Vice‑Mayor Coleman moved to authorize the mayor to sign; Commissioner Keith seconded and the vote was unanimous.

The zoning‑materials change is at first reading and will return for a later final reading before it becomes permanent.
