Knuckles then moved to approve a $1,064,716.77 contract with Custer, and a separate $509,086.16 contract with Michigan Office Environments; Nash supported both motions. Each contract passed by recorded votes of Ayes 4, Nays 0, with Drew Isola, Mary Kasprzyk and Katherine Lake recorded as absent.
The approvals followed a failed procedural motion earlier in the meeting: a motion to approve minutes from the Jan. 12 organizational meeting (motion 25/26-074) was not carried (Ayes 3, Abstain: Knuckles). The board opened the meeting to public participation; no citizens spoke.
