Ludington Area Schools board adopts 2025–26 general operating budget after public hearing

Board President Dr. Bret Autrey called the hearing; a motion by Mike Nagle, supported by Alan Neushwander, adjourned the public hearing at 6:10 p.m. The motion to adjourn carried on a 5–0 vote (Autrey, Nagle, Lowman, Neushwander, Winczewski).
On separate motions later in the meeting, the board approved the Final Budget Amendment for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025 (motion by Alan Neushwander, supported by Mike Nagle) and then approved the Budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026 (motion by Mike Nagle, supported by Sarah Lowman). Both motions carried by unanimous 5–0 votes.
The approved 2025–26 budget is recorded in the minutes as the district’s general operating fund for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The board took those votes during its regular meeting after the public hearing concluded.
