Stacey said she is scheduled to meet with the engineer and the contractor's vice president to discuss the financial impacts and which party will bear responsibility for major design discrepancies, including concerns about sewer-line design and related costs and insurance.
Commissioner Brett Wachsmith moved to approve Change Order No. 7; Chairman Laura Osiadacz seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0; Vice-Chairman Cory Wright was absent. The minutes do not record a dollar amount for the change order.
The county's next steps, as recorded, are the meeting between county staff, the engineer and the contractor to determine financial responsibility and insurance coverage related to the design issues.
