Juvenile Court administrator says judges will sign routine contracts unless General Fund is affected

Katrina Mankus, Juvenile Court Administrator, updated the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners on May 12 on how her office will process contracts going forward. She told the Board she is not required to have the Board sign juvenile court contracts and that, with recent changes in judicial personnel, the judges have indicated they will sign contracts unless a contract would affect the county General Fund.
Mankus presented the change as an administrative update and did not request formal action from the Board. Commissioners took the update as informational; no vote or formal directive was recorded.
