County manager says Keystone tax system go-live delayed to Nov. 12

Washington County officials announced a revised timeline for the county’s Keystone tax system implementation at the July 7 Board of Commissioners meeting.
County Manager/County Attorney Curtis S. Potter told the Board that staff met with Keystone in late June and that the new go-live date is November 12, 2025. Potter said Washington County’s data conversion is the principal obstacle and that Perquimans County will go live before Washington County, which affected Washington County's place in the vendor’s rollout schedule. Keystone staff are scheduled to be on-site July 11.
Potter said management and the tax office are working through conversion tasks and that the county continues to coordinate with Keystone and county tax staff to prepare for the November date. No new budgetary figures or contract changes were presented at the meeting.
