Fulton County approves HAVA-funded security upgrades for voter registration office

At the Dec. 9 meeting, Voter Registration/Election Director Linda Doyle reviewed a TelePlus quote for keycard fob access at the Voter Registration office and said Elect IT contractor Rick Grissinger would install separate cameras above both the Commissioners' Office door and the Voter Registration/Election Office door. The board authorized the work and approved using $3,000 from the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant to cover the installations. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved for approval; the motion carried with all in favor.
The action covers two physical security components: a keycard fob installation at the Voter Registration entrance and additional camera installation above the two offices. The board did not record a timeline for installation at the meeting; staff will proceed with vendor scheduling and implementation under the grant terms.
The meeting minutes note that the camera installation will be performed by Rick Grissinger of Elect IT and the keycard work by TelePlus, both funded from the designated HAVA allocation.
