Fulton County commissioners voted unanimously on Nov. 25 to adopt the county’s 2026 tentative budget, with final adoption scheduled for Dec. 30, 2025. The motion to adopt was made by Commissioner Hervey P. Hann following a presentation by CFO Mike Lamb and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed.
The meeting’s consent actions included approval of payroll dated Nov. 28, 2025, in the amount of $125,126.16 and payables dated Nov. 28, 2025, totaling $674,010.68 across multiple funds. The commissioners recorded fund-level totals including $213,274.44 in the General Fund and other specified fund balances. Commissioners also approved several vendor invoices: William Penn Printing ($4,487.70), Elect IT Solutions for IT staffing in December ($9,854.00), HART license and support ($11,815.00), and EPayment Now dog license payments ($2,363.50).
The tentative budget adoption frames the county’s spending plan heading into the year; county officials said final adoption will occur at the commissioners’ Dec. 30 meeting. No bids were received at a scheduled bid opening for the sale of 119 North Second Street in McConnellsburg, which the board noted during routine business.
The commissioners adjourned at 11:45 a.m.; separate minutes were noted for a Safety Committee meeting and an Election Board meeting held during the day.
