Quorum Court confirms Toby Teeter to Benton County Historical Preservation Commission

The Benton County Quorum Court unanimously confirmed the appointment of Toby Teeter to position No. 2 on the Benton County Historical Preservation Commission during its Nov. 20 meeting.
The County Judge introduced Teeter, saying the appointment fills an unexpired term ending Jan. 26, 2030. Teeter told the court he works for the University of Arkansas, lives in downtown Bentonville and has experience in historic rehabilitation in Joplin and elsewhere. "I was heavily involved in historic rehab projects... I volunteered my house for a tour that raised money for the Benton County Historic Society," Teeter said.
The appointment was moved by Justice Miller and seconded by Justice Jones; the clerk called the roll and recorded a unanimous confirmation. The judge noted Leah Whitehead, chair of the commission, recommended Teeter for the position.
Teeter will be sworn in at a later date and will serve the remainder of the current term, county officials said.
