Butler County approves February claims, acknowledges manure plans and adjourns

The Butler County Board of Supervisors approved county claims for February 1–28, 2025 on a motion from Greg Barnett, seconded by Wayne Dralle; the meeting record lists itemized claims from SEG 007 through SEG 188. The board also approved a letter of support for the Aplington Fire Department’s Hinson FY2026 Community Fund Project grant (motion by Barnett, second by Dralle).
Auditor Leslie Groen presented the claims and the request for the letter of support. The minutes list individual vendors and amounts for routine county expenditures, including utilities, maintenance, professional services and equipment purchases; the claims list is recorded verbatim in the meeting minutes and the board approved payment.
The board acknowledged receipt of Manure Management Plan short-form annual updates and new plan forms for several finisher farms (Marton Butler Finisher Farm #61765; Kuper Finisher Farm #62150; Roose South Farm #61826; Winkowitsch Finisher Farm #61824; Tjaden Finisher Farm #71192; PHD Site 1 #61399; Willekes Finisher #67696; Norwood Site 2 #69310). The board adjourned at 9:59 a.m. to reconvene March 11, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
