Butler County Board approves routine business, tables Glenville battery-storage letter

The Butler County Board of Supervisors handled several routine agenda items during its regular meeting on April 8, 2025.
The board approved the agenda and the minutes of the previous meeting. Supervisor Wayne Dralle moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Greg Barnett; both routine motions carried on unanimous voice votes. The board approved the Schneider Geospatial Professional Services Agreement after an IT briefing and placed the Butler County Sheriff's Office quarterly report, the County Recorder's report of fees collected, and the Auditor's cash report on file. The board also approved county claims.
On a separate motion, Supervisor Greg Barnett moved and Supervisor Wayne Dralle seconded to table consideration of a letter opposing a proposed battery storage facility in Glenville, Minnesota until the following week; that motion carried with all ayes. The board also acknowledged receipt of Short Form Annual Updates for multiple manure management plans listed in the record.
The meeting adjourned at 9:46 A.M.; the board set its next regular meeting for April 15, 2025 at 9:00 A.M.
