Butler County supervisors set April 22 hearing on hazard plan, approve licenses and proclamation

The Butler County Board of Supervisors on April 1 voted unanimously to set a public hearing for April 22, 2025, to consider adoption of the county's Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The resolution, numbered 21-2025, was passed after a motion by Supervisor Greg Barnett and a second by Supervisor Wayne Dralle. Chairman Rusty Eddy and both supervisors recorded aye votes during the roll call. The hearing is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at the Butler County Courthouse Supervisor's Office, 428 Sixth Street, Allison.
Also during routine business the board adopted a proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month after Mellisa Koop of Butler County Visions of Wellbeing presented the request; Barnett moved and Dralle seconded the motion, which passed on a unanimous voice vote.
The supervisors approved two retail alcohol-license applications: a Class F license for American Legion Tack-Barnett Post #268 and a Class C license for Clarksville Area Recreational Development (CARD, Inc.). Both license approvals were moved by Barnett, seconded by Dralle, and recorded as "all ayes." The minutes do not record public objections or conditions attached to the approvals.
The board also reviewed and approved utility permits from Butler County R.E.C. to replace two overhead services with underground service at addresses on 290th Street; that action passed on a unanimous vote.
What happens next: the public hearing on the hazard mitigation plan is the next formal step for that item; the board will consider public input at the April 22 hearing before any final adoption vote.
