Bay Minette council approves zoning-fee ordinance on first reading, property sale and two resolutions

Councilmember William Taylor moved to approve Ordinance 1004 (Planning and Zoning Fees) on first reading after Mayor Robert A. Wills opened and closed a public hearing with no public comment; Councilmember Shannon Clemmons seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Matt Franklin moved to approve Ordinance 1005 (Sale of Unneeded Municipal Real Property) on second reading; Councilmember Pete Sellers seconded and it passed unanimously. The council also approved Resolution 0522-04 (Jensen's Heart of Gold) on a motion by Councilmember Pete Sellers, seconded by Councilmember Matt Franklin, and approved Resolution 0522-05 authorizing the mayor to accept and sign a proposal from Tensaw Engineering, LLC on a motion by Councilmember Mike Phillips, seconded by Councilmember Matt Franklin; both motions passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting the council approved the consent agenda, including the May 2, 2022 minutes, on a motion by Councilmember Pete Sellers seconded by Councilmember Matt Franklin. The council then approved payables totaling $113,552.44 on a motion by Councilmember Franklin, seconded by Councilmember William Taylor; that motion also carried unanimously.
The council took these votes during its regular called meeting at City Hall; no substantive debate or public opposition to the listed ordinances and resolutions was recorded in the meeting minutes. There were no additional formal actions recorded on these agenda items before the meeting adjourned.
