Nelson County Commission approves ARPA-funded tech purchase, preliminarily adjusts pay scale and schedules budget meeting

Nelson County commissioners on July 18 approved using up to $5,000 in ARPA funds to buy presentation TVs, related hardware for the Commission Room and tablets for commissioners to support meetings and presentations.
The motion, moved by Commissioner Aaron Mork and seconded by Commissioner Mike Haugland, passed on a unanimous roll call vote. Commissioners also discussed the pay scale and directed Auditor Nathan Parks to prepare budgets using a preliminary step and a 2% cost-of-living increase.
Commissioners approved the June financial statements and authorized paying all bills to be listed at the second meeting of the month. The board discussed moving the budget meeting date to a special meeting on Friday, July 28 at 8:00 a.m.
