Nathan Parks presented the request on behalf of the Sheriff’s Department, explaining the hotspots would ensure deputies’ computers remain connected to the internet so location information is continuously available to the CAD system. The purchase covers five Verizon "jetpak" units at a monthly cost of $39.99 per unit.
Commissioner Aaron Mork moved to approve the purchase and Commissioner Mike Haugland seconded. The motion passed on a roll-call vote with all members voting "Yes."
