Bay Minette City Council unanimously approves payables, three resolutions

The Bay Minette City Council met July 5, 2022, at City Hall and unanimously approved routine business including payables totaling $367,831.63 and three resolutions.
Council approved the meeting minutes for June 20, 2022, as part of the consent agenda after a motion by Councilmember Pete Sellers and a second from Councilmember William Taylor. The council then approved payables in the amount of $367,831.63; Councilmember Mike Phillips moved the payables motion and Councilmember Matt Franklin seconded.
The council approved Resolution 0722-01 to allow the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce to use the John F. Rhodes Civic Center for the Senior Expo on Oct. 4–5, 2022. Councilmember Shannon Clemmons moved the resolution and Councilmember Mike Phillips seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Council approved Resolution 0722-02 to assess nuisance-abatement costs for the property at 10 Hand Avenue, Bay Minette, Alabama 36507. Councilmember Matt Franklin moved the resolution and Councilmember Pete Sellers seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The council also approved Resolution 0722-03, providing $5,000 in financial assistance to North Baldwin Ecumenical Association, Inc. The funds were authorized to be expended from contingency allocations as follows: Mayor — $1,500; District 1 — $1,000; District 2 — $1,000; District 3 — $500; District 4 — $500; District 5 — $500. Councilmember Mike Phillips moved the resolution; Councilmember William Taylor seconded and the motion was unanimously carried.
All listed motions were recorded as carrying unanimously. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn by Councilmember William Taylor, seconded by Councilmember Shannon Clemmons.
