The Davis County Commission took a series of routine votes at its Feb. 17 meeting in Farmington.
Minutes: The Commission approved the Feb. 3, 2026 regular meeting minutes. Motion by John Crofts; second by Lorene Kamalu; all present voted aye.
Library grant: Library Director Joshua Johnson presented a Community Library Enhancement Funds (CLEF) grant from the Utah State Library for $32,077 (receivable) covering July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026. Commissioners approved the grant; Johnson noted the funding was renewed and appears to be ongoing.
Consent item: The Commission approved an agreement with PrimeTime Sports for a basketball tournament on Sept. 26, 2026 for $4,130. Motion by Bob Stevenson; second by John Crofts; vote unanimous.
Board of Equalization: The Commission recessed to the Board of Equalization, received the Property Tax Register for Feb. 17, 2026 (controller’s adjustments, appeals and corrections) presented by Controller Scott Parke, and approved the register. The Commission reconvened and continued with closing remarks.
Closing: Chair John Crofts announced a March 5 town hall in Farmington, noted Commissioner Kamalu’s attendance at the National Association of Counties conference, cautioned about an incoming severe storm and adjourned the meeting at 10:14 a.m.
