At 10:00 a.m. on Feb. 11, 2026, Highway Superintendent Tom Werblow presented the McPherson County Board of Commissioners with the county’s One- and Six-Year Road Plan, including Forms 7, 8, 9 and 11 and a map outlining proposed work.
Werblow described the plan’s priorities and routing for the upcoming year and longer-range projects. Four members of the public attended the hearing and raised questions focused on proposed work for Soddy Road; the transcript records the public seeking clarification on the county’s intent for that route and how it would be prioritized in the plan.
After the public questions, the board continued the hearing to its March meeting and said it would consider and sign a formal resolution at that time. The board did not adopt a resolution or take a formal vote on the plan during the Feb. 11 meeting.
The continuation means the county will revisit the plan with any public feedback and finalize formal action at the March commissioners meeting, currently scheduled for March 11, 2026.
