Fulton County convened a CDBG project kickoff meeting via Zoom on Nov. 25 to discuss the Warfordsburg Senior Center project with SEDA-COG Program Analyst Hanorah Lucas. County staff in attendance included Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville and Connie Brode, Executive Director for Huntingdon/Bedford/Fulton Area on Aging.
Separately on the agenda was a bid opening for the sale of county property at 119 North Second Street, McConnellsburg, scheduled for 9:00 a.m.; no bids were presented. Commissioners noted the absence of bids in the official minutes.
Commissioners approved a request from Paula Shives of the Fulton County Association of Township Officials to plant a commemorative tree on the courthouse lawn in observance of America250PA, and they authorized a letter naming Marty Mettille as Fulton County's advisor for America250PA events in the county.
Why it matters: the CDBG kickoff initiates project planning for a senior services facility in Warfordsburg; a lack of bids for the county property may delay disposition or require re-advertisement. The America250PA actions set a point of contact and a commemorative gesture for county observances.
