Cleburne adopts updated airport rates, including new ramp parking fees by aircraft size

An airport official told the council the adjustments, last changed four years ago, align rates with market conditions and the DFW-area consumer price index. Staff recommended tiered ramp parking fees based on aircraft size — small aircraft: $10/day or $50/month; medium aircraft: $30/day or $150/month; large aircraft: $40/day or $200/month — with ramp fees still waivable in lieu of fuel purchases. Staff also proposed standardizing a published lease rate (described in the presentation as 25¢) for new and amended long-term ground leases; current leases would not be affected.
Council members had no substantive questions and voted to approve the ordinance unanimously. Staff said the rates would take effect March 1 to allow tenant notification and that airport advisory board recommended the adjustments by a 3–0 vote.
