Portland staff schedules public hearing Feb. 24 on proposed Planning Board rules changes

Planning staff notified the Portland Planning Board on Feb. 10 that a set of proposed amendments to the board’s rules of procedure has been prepared to make clerical and technical corrections, formally document current practices, and align procedures with other city boards and committees. Staff said the amendments were circulated in advance and that no action was required at the Feb. 10 meeting. A public hearing on the proposed rule changes is scheduled for Feb. 24, 2026, when the board will formally consider adoption.
Staff invited board members to submit preliminary questions or comments to staff or directly to Andrew (staff) ahead of the Feb. 24 hearing.
