Council President John George called the special meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers at 18500 W. Thirteen Mile Road. After the council approved the agenda, members voted to enter a closed session under MCL 15.268(c) to discuss union negotiations with the Village Labor Attorney, Gouri Sashital. The council entered closed session at 7:03 p.m. and returned to the public meeting at 8:03 p.m.
Following the closed session, Council member Kecskemeti moved, and Council member Hrydziuszko seconded, a motion “that the Village of Beverly Hills Council hereby approves the proposed collective bargaining agreement between the Village and the Beverly Hills Police Officers Association and the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign the agreement.” The roll call vote on the motion was recorded as passed 7-0.
