Jefferson County Board accepts August financials; bills and payroll total $48.23 million

Nance reported that all board and local school bank accounts were reconciled as of Sept. 9, 2025.
The board moved to approve the bills and payroll for August 2025 (AP bills $18,287,166.31; payroll $29,941,008.03), and the motion carried unanimously. The minutes record no further discussion or conditions attached to the approval.
The acceptance of the monthly financial report and the bill/payroll approval set the district accounting position for the start of the 2025–2026 fiscal period and authorizes routine disbursements recorded in the transcript.
