Prosper planning commission unanimously approves consent agenda; hears council update on “Prospero”

The Prosper Planning and Zoning Commission approved its consent agenda by a 6–0 vote at a meeting called to order at 6:01 p.m. on Dec. 2, 2025.
"I'd like to make a motion to approve consent agenda items 3a, 3b, and 3c," said Commissioner Hamilton, who moved the motion; Commissioner Carson seconded. The chair called the vote and announced, "Motion carries 6 to 0." The consent items were described on the agenda as routine and noncontroversial.
Commissioner Hamilton briefed the commission on recent town council activity, saying the prior council meeting approved a notice of appeals unanimously and that the Dec. 9 council agenda includes an ordinance and a development agreement listed on the agenda as "Prospero." He also reminded commissioners of the annual boards and commissions reception scheduled the following Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in the gym; staff will circulate event details.
The chair reviewed rules for public comment and announced no members of the public had signed up to speak during the allocated three-minute comment periods. The commission recorded no public testimony.
Before adjourning, a commissioner noted a family bereavement and said they may be absent at the next meeting. Commissioner Carson moved to adjourn; Commissioner Butler seconded. The chair again called the vote and announced the motion to adjourn carried 6–0.
The meeting lasted through the routine agenda items and ended after the adjournment vote. The commission flagged the Dec. 9 town council meeting and the upcoming boards and commissions reception for members' calendars.
