Jefferson County Board of Education approves $1.25 million first-year contract with Tyler Technologies for new ERP

The Jefferson County Board of Education voted unanimously Dec. 11 to approve a three-year agreement with Tyler Technologies to provide an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that will replace the district’s current finance and human resources software.

Board member Walter Curry moved to approve the agreement and Carita Venable seconded; all four members present voted yes. The contract begins Jan. 1, 2026. The district reported an approximate first-year total cost of $1,247,272, composed of one-time costs totaling $1,100,031 (including implementation costs listed at $850,254 and estimated travel of $249,777) and recurring costs of $147,241.50, described as 25% of the total cost for subsequent years.
