The Tuscaloosa County Board of Education met Nov. 10, 2025, and unanimously approved a series of contracts, budget actions and personnel items, including a $75,000 donation to support the Reading Allies program and the acceptance of the CSFO resignation.
Caroline Lassiter of the Tuscaloosa Education Foundation and Will Hewson of the Hewson Foundation presented a $75,000 check to support Reading Allies. The board later approved a set of vendor and service agreements recommended by the superintendent, including a contract with Enspire Consulting, LLC for Emergenetics training for aspiring administrators, to be paid with federal funds, and a renewal with Harris School Solutions for NextGen support in the amount of $97,915.07 from technology funds.
