Parks staff told the board they incorporated prior board comments and a phasing plan: Phase 1 would include a baseball fourplex and some rectangular fields; Phase 2 would complete the remaining rectangular fields and a large multi‑use space; Phase 3 would develop the area south of Fishtrap Road; Phase 4 would finish trails and some open space. Staff added back a pump track and shifted a sand volleyball location in response to board input.
Staff provided a high‑level cost estimate of about $74,000,000 in today’s dollars and said the project will almost certainly require phased construction and future bond or funding measures. Board members expressed support for the changes and approved the master plan revisions by voice vote.
Staff said they will provide cost details and next steps for Council and noted the project remains subject to funding availability and further design refinements.
