Parks board elects Daniel Knox chair; Benson, Castro named to officer posts

After a member nominated the chair candidate and the nominee accepted, the board voted by voice to elect Daniel Knox as chair. The board then approved Bob Benson as vice chair and Carrie Castro as secretary.
A meeting moderator called for nominations and handled the roll-call and votes. A parks staff member noted the board conducts officer elections each year and guided the process. The board recorded the votes by voice and there were no recorded nays.
The newly elected officers will serve until the board's next annual election. The board then moved on to agenda items including park development agreements and a review of the town's park fee schedule.
