At the start of the meeting the Keith County Board of Commissioners approved routine business items including the meeting agenda and minutes from the previous meeting.
The board approved payment of claims after a motion by Commissioner Irvin and second by Commissioner Wartman. Commissioners also approved a staff travel request to the MPZA annual conference (March 4–6 in Kearney) after a motion by Schroeder and a second by Irvin.
The board appointed Kathy Bailey to the Ogallala/Keith County Senior Center board to fill the vacancy left by Judy Markison’s retirement; the motion was made by Anderson and seconded by Wartman. Separately, the board declared several old computers from the treasurer’s office (tagged KCDT‑14, KCDT‑54, KCDT‑15, KCDT‑29) surplus after staff confirmed they will be properly decommissioned and data‑wiped in accordance with vendor procedures.
All of the above items were approved by roll call votes recorded at the meeting.
