Council Member Matt Morris moved to approve the project and Council Member Nick Rutledge seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The council recorded the action as budgeted capital work to improve park accessibility and waste management at the facility.
Also during the same agenda segment, David Howard addressed the council to announce a new Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Tree Farm at 3706 Moody Parkway. He said he expects pumpkins by mid-September and plans to add an ice cream shop on the site. "He looks forward to being involved in the community," the minutes report.
