Moody City Council approves travel for RMS software training for police and IT staff

Moody City Council on Sept. 23 approved travel and lodging for three police officers and the city’s IT administrator to attend RMS reporting software update training in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, scheduled Oct. 28–31.
Reece Smith presented the request and identified the police portion as budgeted to line item 01-513-1500 and the administrative portion to 01-512-1500. The police expense was approved with a cap of $1,300; the administrative cost was approved with a cap of $500. Council Member Lynn Taylor moved to approve the expenditures; Council Member Matt Morris seconded. All members present voted AYE and the motion carried unanimously.
The council record shows Council Member Linda Crowe was absent for the meeting. The action was recorded as part of the FY 2024–25 budgeted expenditures.
