Commission backs Ashland Street dedication for Sapphire Springs Section 6 and forwards it to council

The Angleton Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend approval of the Ashland Street Dedication for Section 6 of Sapphire Springs and forward the item to City Council for final action. Spriggs reported that the street dedication had been reviewed by the city engineer, that two textual changes were required and that the engineer’s letter of no objection was included in the packet.
"This particular street dedication was reviewed by the city engineer," Spriggs said, noting an edited report and the letter of no objection were attached to the commission packet. He told commissioners staff would forward the dedication along with the commission’s recommendation.
Commissioner Heston moved that the Planning and Zoning Commission approve the preliminary plat for Ashland Street Dedication Section 6 and forward it to City Council for final action and consideration; the motion was seconded (recorded as Commissioner Berry) and carried. The commission then adjourned at 12:10 p.m.
